New House

Well, sorry it's taken me so long to update the blog. It's been a busy last few months. As you all have already known, we moved into a "New house" on October 25th. Moving out of a house where we started our family was bitter sweet. I did get a little sad, this was our first house as a married couple, started our family in this house.

Moving is a very tiring task. We started at 9ish in the morning and didn't get it all moved until 10pm. We have a lot stuff (which we will be selling in a garage sale come spring)We were out of the house on Tuesday and didn't get our new keys until Thursday. We were able to put everything in the garage of our new house. We stayed in Henderson.

At the new house, It was cold that day, so we don't look all that happy. We truly love our house and looking forward to sharing it with everyone, making memories. I will try and get back into updating the blog more often. We are over the holidays and getting back to our regular daily tasks. Hope everyone had a awesome Christmas and New Years.

Happy Birthday Jillian!

Our baby girl is 1, hard to believe. Jillian's party is planned for Saturday. Just a small gathering her at our house. At Jillian's 1yr check up she was a champ. Here are her stats weight: 17lbs,120z (20%) Height: 28 1/2inches (27%)going to be petite like mommy. Head: 17 7/8 (50-75%) Doctor said she is right on track and doesn't see anything to worry about. She did notice that Jillian has two teeth close to popping out on top, it also looks like her molars are wanting to pop out too. This is explains her drooling and her whole fist in her mouth. Some fun facts about Jillian you may not know. 1. She can say cat, hi, mama, mommy(mimi is what she is saying), daddy. 2. If you ask her to clap, she will clap for you (most times) 3. She will show you how big she is when asked "How big is Jillian?" 4. She has a temper and will let you know. 5. We always know when Logan is crowding her, she screams to let us know. 6. She is a investigator. 7. She can climb up stairs without much help. 8. Enjoys the outside. I took her to get her pictures done, diva in the making already. It was tough getting cute shots, but we did manage to get some. This is great fun! Rocking in my car seat! Birthday cake and balloons Jillian's party was great, lots of excitement and fun. She didn't know what to think of the cake, but once she tasted the frosting she was eating it. Thank you to everyone that came to celebrate. Wonderful day. Still can't believe that she is 1 already.

Jeff and Jaclyn come home

Jeff and Jaclyn came to Nebraska for a visit. We were able to spend the weekend with them to catch up and celebrate Logan's birthday, and Easter. Uncle Jeff got Logan the greatest gift of all a remote control car.

What did I get? Logan just can't wait to see what he got.

It was a nice weekend. Kevin and Doug went to Henderson Friday to play video games and golf Saturday morning. The kids and I went to Henderson late Saturday morning, we were there in time for lunch. We stayed the night, played outside, hunted for eggs. It was a great weekend. I will end this post with some pictures from our weekend.

We got Logan a bike for his birthday. We took to Henderson, so he could show everyone how much of a big boy he is.

I have gotten Logan's 4yr pictures taken and got the proofs back. Thanks to my friend Kelly again this year for taking them. I have my favorites, just have not got anything printed yet. Once I get that squared away I will post them. Here are the kids updates from their doctor appointments May 16th Logan 4yr check up Height: 38 1/4inches (9% Weight: 32.6lbs (18% He also got his school shots, 4 of them. He will be ready for preschool this fall. Jillian 9month check up Height: 27 1/4inches (34% Weight: 16lbs 1oz (15% Jillian is crawling, she will also pull herself up to her knees. She can pull herself up to stand with a little help from us. She has two bottom teeth right now, but her top gums are swollen, so it won't be long for more teeth to pop out. She is eating baby food three times a day she still has a bottle with her food. She is not a big fan of stage 3 food, she is not ready to be chewing pieces yet.

First let me start by saying sorry, I'm really behind on my postings. Let me back track, what have I missed. Happy Easter! This year was a bit different than past years. We stayed in Lincoln, had dinner with my mom, her siblings and their families. What a nice time that was, that side of the family has gotten so big that we rarely have time to all get together.

We went to hunt for eggs on Saturday (7th) at church, Jillian was taking a nap so I missed out on that fun task. Logan loves to hunt for eggs, but this year he had stage fright or something, he had to be talked into grabbing the eggs. It was a bit chilly that afternoon, but Logan still came home with a great stash of candy.

April 11th, Logan turned 4. Wow! still a bit hard to believe he is getting so big. We had Logan's party at Chuck E Cheese. What a great place for kids of all ages to burn off all that energy that they always have. Logan always cleans up with gifts. We all stuffed ourselves with pizza and cake.

This was almost impossible to get, as you can see mom's had to help and Sage is not happy at all. There were smiles before the picture time. This was after the kids got to go crazy and play. Next time I better do the picture before the kiddos run wild. I will end this post with pictures of Jillian at Logan's party, she did a great job with so much happening around her. She is showing grandma Janet her tongue.

Teething, I want to chew on anything and everything

Jillian 6 months

Can hardly believe how fast Jillian is growing. She is just as silly as her big brother. At her check-up she weigh in at 13lbs 7ozs (6%), 26inches (50%), head 16 5/8inches (50%). Jillian is a petite little (just like mommy), the doctor is not worried about her weight; she is still tracking at her own pace. Some things Jillian is doing right now.
1. Roller, she really gets around. She does get stuck and she will let you know.
2. Talker, man can she talk up a storm, not sure what she is saying, but we listen anyway.
3. She has found her feet and will have them in her mouth any chance she gets, keeping socks on is next to impossible.
4. Her favorite kitty is Athena; she wants to grab her tail whenever she walks by.
5. She is an earlier bird, and a light sleeper.
6. She looks good in yellow and pink.

We have started baby food and she likes applesauce, pears, and she doesn’t care for plain rice cereal. We are waiting on some teeth, she has been chewing on her hands and toys, but no teeth have popped up yet. Jillian wants to crawl, but hasn’t figured out how to get on those knees and move, it’s only a matter of time.
I will end this post with Jillian's 6 months pictures we went to Penney's, had Logan sit in for a few shots, which he really enjoys. Sorry this has taken me so long to post something.

The Christmas stash

Santa has come and gone, tree is packed up & put away, decorations in storage until next year, opened boxes around the house for cats to hide in. What a special Christmas this year as a family of 4. Logan was a great helper with opening Jillian's gifts. She had no clue what she was missing. Both kids got lots of great gifts from the family. Logan got his v-reader (kid size Kindle), and lots of other great toys. Jillian got mostly clothes and a play mat that will keep her busy for months to come. Logan even got his baby sister a special gift, big stuffed reindeer.
We went to Christmas eve services at 4pm which was jammed packed with people. Afterwards we had turkey with all the fix ins.Mom was here, we opened presents and played. Santa came when we were all sleeping. Christmas day we were at my dad's. Great day, Mary and dad did a wonderful job hosting the family. Monday we went to Henderson to have Michel Christmas, Jeff was here so it was special. We stayed the night. Jillian slept in her pack n play and Logan slept with me. Note to self..sleeping with a 3 year old, don't plan on much sleep.

Now that the new year is here. What will 2012 bring? Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas/New Year. We didn't do anything for New Years the whole family was in bed before midnight.
