Jillian's 3 month pictures

Jillian is 4 months already, I can't believe how fast the time is going. It seems like I just had her. Jillian had her 4month check up and she did a super job. She is 12lbs 3oz's(10%), 24 3/4inches(34%), head is 16inches(25-50%). My little angel got shots, she did wonderful (better than mommy, I can't watch). We will start trying baby food. Jillian doesn't have MSPI anymore or if she does it doesn't bother her. Nice to be able to eat dairy again and use a regular formula as a supplement.
Here are Jillian's 3 month pictures. These are our favorites.

Logan is so excited for Christmas, he has been asking Santa for a remote control car. He is always asking is it Christmas yet? I think he may want to open presents.

Logan is now in Sunday school and was in his first Christmas program on December 11th. He didn't sing, but did stand there most of the time without looking too bored. He really enjoys going to Sunday school, one of his friends from my mom's club group is in class with him.
This year is going so fast, can't believe that the New Year is just around the corner. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Jillian baptism

What a blessed day. Jillian was baptized today. At St. Luke's Methodist Church. It was a great service. Besides her parents and big brother Jillian had all her grandparents, great grandparents Michel, uncle Kevin, aunt Angie, and cousin Zack, for her special day. After services everyone came back to our place for lunch and cake. We opened gifts, Logan played with Zack and grandpa and we all chatted. It was a great afternoon. Thanks to everyone for being able to share in this special day.

Happy Halloween!

This year the week before Halloween was jammed packed with many things to do. First we went to Fright at the Museum at Morrill Hall. Insanely crazy, not much candy. Boo at the Zoo. Also busy,we had to take a bus to the zoo, but got lots of candy, its a merry not scary trick or treating. Also we had a Fall party with my Moms Club, I forgot the camera that morning. Halloween night Doug and Logan went out to get candy, Jillian and I stayed home for a little bit. Logan wanted mommy and baby sister to come help. So we went out. The night was great, I wish every Halloween was like that. Jillian did a great job, she just hung out in her stroller and looked at the street lights, she was nice and warm under her blanket.

Ready to go get some candy. Mommy carved those pumpkins. Not sure why he has a silly smile these days.

It was a wonderful Halloween, now on to the next holiday Thanksgiving and then Christmas. This year is just flying by.

An unexpected day out

An unexpected day out. We found out Sunday that Logan would be able to see life size versions of the Cars 2 characters. Lighting McQueen, Tow Mator, and Finn. So I took Jillian to spend some time with grandma Mary so Logan and I could have this time together. I didn't tell Logan right away what we were doing. He was just told its a surprise. He was over the moon to see characters from his favorite movie up close. Another plus for Logan was that his best friend Jacob was able to enjoy this afternoon with him.
The boys are so darn cute together.
Enjoy! the pictures I took, we also got a card to view pictures that were taken with the kids standing in front of the cars, but we have to wait 48 hrs before we can view them.

2 months

10-11-11-Jillian's 2month check-up. She weighed in at 9lbs 15ozs (14%), 22inches (25%), her head 15inches (50%). She also got immunizations 3 shots and 1 liquid. She did cry at the first stick, but once it was over and mommy could hold her everything was better. She loved the liquid that they gave her, she didn't waste anytime getting that down. Dr. Bargen was pleased with the way she is growing and commented on how strong she is with lifting up her head. She has been rolling over for a couple of weeks. During her tummy time she will get those arms up and over she goes. She also gets her legs up as if she is gonna try and crawl already.
We got some samples of a milk base formula (as a supplement), since we don't believe she has the MSPI. She mainly gets breast-milk. She is sleeping great at night, bedtime is around 9pm and she will mostly sleep until 4-5am, eat, and then sleep again until 7-8am. I'm loving that mommy gets sleep :).We are getting lots more awake time during the day and she is starting to take longer cat naps in her swing during the day. We have noticed that she is a light sleeper, so normal noises around the house will wake her. She still will not nap in her crib.
Our next check up is at 4 months.
I will end this post with some pictures of Jillian.

One last thing, we have Jillian's baptism scheduled for November 6Th in Lincoln. I need to get invites out and decide what we want to do for a meal after and order the cake. As well as cleaning the house. The never ending job.

October Already?

Wow! its October already, wonder where the summer went? With Halloween and Thanksgiving just around the corner, we are busy getting ready for trick or treating. Logan and I just put up the Halloween decor on the storm door and other decorations around the house. We have pumpkins waiting to be carved. This weekend was a busy weekend filled with lots of family fun activities. Saturday we went to check out a new/cheaper pumpkin patch. It was basically a small Roca berry farm. Logan really enjoyed the bounce house. Sunday we went to Vala's in Omaha, Logan loves Vala's there is lots to do there.
I was worried ( like normal) about taking Jillian, didn't know how I would nurse or bottle feed her while there, but there was no need to worry we found a place to plug in the bottle warmer for a bottle and managed to find a nice shaded area away from people to nurse her. She loved the fresh air and slept most the time in her stroller. I'm guessing the bumps helped with her sleeping. Amazed how little ones love to be gently bounced.

It was a special day at Vala's Nebraska's astronaut Clay Anderson was there to speak, take pictures and sign autographs.

The fast slide, Logan loves this

Jillian will be 2 months on Saturday. Can't believe how fast the time is going. She is changing everyday, she is awake more during the day, talking to her family, she is sleeping better at night, just last night she went to bed at 930pm-530am,up for a feeding then back down until after 8am. She also finally took a long (nearly 3hrs)nap in her crib.
I went to Milkworks the other day to get a another Miracle blanket(a amazing swaddle blanket), while I was there I weighed Jillian, she was 9lbs 9ozs. She is growing fast. Can't wait to see how long she is at her 2months check up on the 11Th.
I will end this post with some pictures of Jillian to show how much she is changing.

Bedtime story, Jillian was really interested.

Jillian 3 weeks

Jillian is 3 weeks. Time sure flies. I just wanted to update the blog with some pictures of Jillian, to show how much she is changing. Logan is really in love with his little sister, he has to lay with her every chance he gets and loves to help her with tummy time.
At Jillian's 2 week doctor appointment, we had the doctor test her stool, to see if she had MSPI (milk/soy protein intolerance). Some of you may remember that we found out Logan had it when he was 2 weeks and I had to go on a diet eliminating all dairy and soy. They did find blood in her stool, however she is not showing signs like Logan did. So the doctor stated that she may have a mild case and since she is gaining weight then she doesn't think its the intolerance. I'm limiting how much milk/soy, but not completely cutting it out. Jillian is a good eater which is why we don't believe she has the intolerance like Logan did. She does eat a lot and I'm trying hard to keep up with her.
We are also having trouble with getting Jillian to sleep in her crib at night. She is a cuddlier and is happy to sleep on mommy or daddy, but that just can't happen. We need our sleep as well. She is getting better going down, the screaming fits are getting shorter and she will take a pacifier at night. She will go for 4-6 hours at night before waking up for a feeding. Good for mommy, I like sleep :)

Tummy time, tummy time.

Logan helping sister with tummy time

Here is my tongue.

Hands always in the air.

Logan loves to lay next to his sister.
It sure has been tough spending time with Logan, he is always wanting mommy to play with him. I'm so busy with Jillian that I think he feels left out. He is doing well with helping me when I need it, we also have our bedtime stories. I also try to play games with him during the day when Jillian is napping. Logan and daddy have spiders in tanks in the basement. Logan is pretty proud of them. I try to stay away from them as much as possible. Thank goodness they are in tanks.
This weekend starts the Husker football season. Hope we have a good season. Jillian already has her Husker outfit to wear this weekend.
Go Rig Red!!
