Merry Christmas!!

Where has December gone? Logan's first Christmas is 10 days away. With that in mind I thought I would take sometime and post something before Christmas. It may be the new year before I have time to post again.

Thanksgiving was here and gone just like that. This year we went to my dad's for lunch. Logan is eating baby food, so I was able to give him some sweet potatoes and turkey. He has a good time at Papa Ray's. Logan was able to play with the twins Cody & Dylan (Denise's kids, who is Mary's daughter). I brought the camera, but the day went by so fast that when I got home I realized that I didn't even take one photo. We put the tree up the Sunday before Thanksgiving. since its a pre-lit tree Logan was able to see the lights right away. He really likes the lights and is a good boy with the tree. We have to tell him no once in while, he likes to touch the garland and tags on the gifts under the tree.

Logan turned 8-months on December 11. He really is moving and shaking. Crawling is second nature to Logan it only takes a second and he is off chasing the kitties when they come around. When Logan is not chasing kitties he is pulling himself up to stand on anything that will hold him. He really has no fear, he doesn't hold on when he is standing.

We are having Christmas at our house this year. It will be nice for Logan to spend his first Christmas with his family. Here are some photos of Logan checking out the Christmas tree.

One last thing, just wanted to share some photos to show how much Logan likes his baby food.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year!

Look out everyone someone is crawling!!

Its happened Logan is now on the move. Logan has been crawling for a couple of weeks now. So ready or not world there is a new investigator in town. Logan is not very fast, but that will come soon. He can really move when Isis or Athena come by. I don't think this little guy will crawl for too long, he wants to walk (more like run). He is already pulling himself up on his knees. Just today he pulled himself up to a full standing position. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

I have posted a video of Logan crawling to get or see Isis.. It took a long time for the video to upload and I hope it works properly.. Enjoy! the video and pictures..

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well Logan has turned 7 months and doing new and silly things everyday. Some things that he is doing is laughing through his nose. Its so cute when he crinkles his nose. Now I don't know if this is a normal thing or not, but I laugh every time. He also likes to stick his tongue out (he has been doing this since the day he was born), however this is different we see his whole tongue. I think he is doing this because he feels those 2 teeth he has on the bottom. Logan is teething still, he has his first two teeth at 3 1/2 months and now he is working on 3 & 4. Lots of his toys have scratches from him chewing on them.

Still waiting for him to start crawling, he really wants too. He has been eating baby food and enjoying that. Logan has been on a special formula due to his milk/soy intolerance (which is very pricey), well just this week he is on a soy based formula, to see if he has out grown his intolerance. Its only been a few days, but so far no major problems, still happy..
Well I have gone on long enough. Here are some cute pictures of Logan and his many talents.

Just teaching Logan how to surf the Internet and play some computer games.

I like this one in the carseat, because of the way he has his arms over the cover. We just started using the cover since its been getting colder outside. He wasn't sure what to think of this cover.

First Halloween

Its Logan's First Halloween, he has no idea what its all about. So with that in mind I choose not to take him out and didn't dress him up in a costume. I found a orange/black sleeper with a spider on it. I bought him a little pumpkin to place outside. Of course we had to let Logan check it out to insure it met his approval. After he approved it, we set outside and handed out gold fish crackers to the little ones that came. We had 45 little ghosts and goblins.

I can't wait until next year to take Logan out, (he may not be able to have the candy, but I'm sure dad and mom could eat it for him). I'm already thinking about what he should be next year. I have lots of ideas, however I don't sew therefore I will not be making his costume.

Logan is almost ready to start crawling. (Oh boy look out!) I don't think I'm ready for that. I have started to child proof, but its not completing done.
Logan is working on getting into the kitchen I'm just wondering when he will say "What's cooking mom"?

Logan is letting me know that he needs some TLC, so I better post this already. Thanks to all who read the blog. Until next time enjoy!

Here are some proofs from Logan's 6 months photo shoot

Here are a few proofs from our photo shoot for Logan's 6-months pictures. They show some many that its hard to decided what ones to buy. I picked out some my favorites to show off on the blog.

Grandma's Birthday

As some if you may know Doug's mom Shar is a twin who is Shirley. The girls birthday was on the 10-19, and every year they get together to go shopping. Since their birthday was on a Sunday the shopping day was Monday. Since they shop in Lincoln Logan and I tagged along with them. I love to shop and Logan to enjoys shopping with mom. I don't know what Logan thought when he seen someone else who looks like Grandma Shar. I like the photo with all three of them Logan has this look like "Are you my grandmother?" It will be neat to see how he reacts when they are together again and he is older to understand.
The day went by so fast, Logan was an angel the whole time we were out shopping at the mall. He didn't fuss much at all, there were those little cries because he wanted to be fed, changed, or needed a nap. It amazes me how much he is growing and learning. It seem like just a few days ago we came home from the hospital with him. Now we have to baby proof because he will be crawling in no time flat.

Ouchies- 6 month check up

We went to the doctor today for Logan's 6 -months well baby check up. Things always go good at the doctor's, minus the 3 shots and one extra. He screams during the shot process, but once I'm able to pick him up he is all better. He loves his mommy, we added a new shot this visit. Babies at his age need to get the flu shot. Babies his age get the flu shot in 2 doses, so in 4 weeks we will go back to get the last dose.
Here are Logan's stats
Weight= 16lbs 2oz (25%)
Height 26 1/4in (25-50%)
Head/BMI 17 1/4 (50%)
Well I better cut this post short, with Logan getting shots today he is pretty fussy and needs some extra TLC from mom and dad.

6-months old on 10-11-08

Logan is now 6 months old. I keep asking myself where has the 6 months gone? On the 11th we went back to JcPenny's and got his pictures taken. He really did a great job during that. He gave the photo lady a few good smiles, but mostly he just sat there and gave this look like who is this strange lady? We went to have lunch at the food court, Logan did a wonderful job hanging out while we ate, and he really likes to go shopping to see all the people and bright lights. Logan is really starting to get around when he rolls over on his tummy. I believe he will start crawling very soon. Sometimes he will get up on to his knees.

I was working on some cleaning and stepped out of the room for a minute and when I returned Logan was alomost under the coffee table. He had found his hair brush on the table and thought it would be a good chew toy. He also can sit up on his own. he really likes to sit up and scoot around all day long. He does get pretty tired with all that moving around, but he doesn't like to take naps, so when nap time comes around he screams for a pretty long time until he will finally just fall asleep.

Lets see How this works

Welcome to the Michel Family blog. A fast and easy way to keep in touch with the Michel family (mainly Logan). I just don't have the time to sit down and e-mail everyone new photos or write about new things in our ever changing days. This way our family and friends can check in on us on there own time. This is something new for me to learn on how to run a blog. I do hope it turns out to be fun and not work. Hope you all can enjoy it!
Currently Logan is about to be 6 months on the 11th. He is really growing fast and learning lots of things. He has found his voice, he makes sounds that I never knew babies could make. He is getting rolling over from back to tummy down to a science. Since I get to stay home with Logan we are able to do alot of things outside, we go for walks to the park near the house, he has been down the slide with me and on the swings. When it rains we can sit on the deck and he can have the rain drops fall on his head. He is not sure what to think of that. Logan loves to be outside, whenever he is fussy I can always take him out and he will be happy in seconds.
